TERMOFOL TF-KGJZ HEATING CABLES for underfloor heating
Termofol TF-KGJZ heating cables are intended for storage underfloor heating in residential and public buildings. Heating cables are installed in the concrete or anhydrite screed layer. Depending on the investor’s preferences, possible floor finishing layers include: stoneware tiles, stone, marble, layered floorboards, laminated floor panels, vinyl floor panels.
Termofol TF-KGJZ heating cables have a larger diameter compared to typical cables used in heating mats. 4.8–5.6 mm compared to 3.6 mm in diameter. We have models with a length from 10 to 200 meters and a power of 10W/m and 7.5m to 155 meters and a power of 20W/m.
Termofol’s product, the TF-KGJZ heating cables, are dedicated to heating rooms with marble or terracotta floor finishes.
The following can also be used for finishing:
- wooden coverings glued to the substrate,
- PVC floor coverings,
- carpet coverings,
- “floating” coverings.
Pay attention to whether the installed finish has the appropriate certificate and contains the manufacturer’s mark, allowing safe use of the selected product. It should contain the marking shown below.

Termofol TF-KGJZ heating cables can constitute:
- a basic heating system for rooms and buildings, being the only, self-sufficient source of heat,
- a supporting heating system, installed to obtain the effect of a warm floor.

- Heat-resistant PVC coating
- Screen – braid of tinned copper wires
- PVC insulation
- XLPE insulation

FAQ
Heating cables are resistance wires placed in insulation. Our offer includes heating cables for screeds of various lengths, power and cable power. We sell them in ready-made sections of a given length and specific power. We offer models with lengths from 10 to 200 m, diameters ranging from 4.8-5.6 mm, power 10 or 20 W/m and cable power ranging from 100 to 3100 W, depending on the specific product. All cables operate at 230 V. Termofol TF-KGJZ heating cables are covered by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Heating cables are made of high-quality materials, which increases the durability and solidity of the product. They consist of several layers. The outer shell is made of heat-resistant PVC. Below it there is a screen, i.e. a braid of galvanized copper wires. The next layer is PVC insulation. The center of the cabling is a multi-wire heating conductor surrounded by XLPE insulation. Electric heating cables are ideal for storage underfloor heating.
The decision to choose TF-KGJZ heating cables as underfloor heating is best made at the construction stage, i.e. before the screed is made. Laying cables on the ceiling or a concrete base with a layer of thermal insulation significantly reduces heat loss and translates into lower operating costs. Termofol electric heating cables can be the basic heating system in a building or room, being a self-sufficient and sole source of heat. Heating cables can also become an auxiliary heating system, installed to obtain the effect of a warm floor in rooms where another heat source is already installed, e.g. a fireplace or radiators.
Termofol heating cables are intended for storage underfloor heating in all types of buildings: residential, public and business buildings. They are installed in an anhydrite or concrete screed. Depending on the investor’s preferences, heating cables can be installed under any type of floor finish. Heating cables in the screed are therefore suitable for mounting under laminated and vinyl floor panels, layered floorboards, stoneware tiles, as well as natural stone and marble. They can be installed under PVC flooring, carpet, wooden coverings glued to the substrate, terracotta or “floating” coverings. Regardless of the type of finish, properly installed heating cables under screeds in the Terfol system will distribute heat properly and efficiently. However, you should always check whether the installed finish has the appropriate certificates and contains the manufacturer’s mark, confirming that the product can be safely used on electric underfloor heating.
Electric heating with heating cables has many advantages. First of all, it does not require expensive installations, such as building a boiler room, installing a furnace, installing radiators and connecting pipes. The heating installation process itself is less labor-intensive and much cheaper than classic underfloor heating. The system, and therefore the heating cables in the screed, are installed only in places used by household members. Therefore, there is no need to spread it over the entire floor surface, which translates into financial savings. Another advantage of this solution is the short time needed to design and implement the system. When starting to design, you should determine the heating power per 1 m2 of surface – this is a parameter that determines the thermal power that must be supplied to heat a given room. The next step is to determine the type of floor material and determine the unit power that should be used to heat this specific type of floor. The last step is to calculate the spacing between the heating cables. When making calculations, take into account only the area free from construction with permanent elements, such as a bathtub or furniture.
Electric heating cables are completely safe to use. Thanks to their construction from high-quality materials and the use of modern technologies, the heating cables guarantee the highest level of fire safety. They also influence the reliability and long life of the system. Heating cables in the electric underfloor heating system are also a very ecological and user-friendly heat source. The lack of mites, allergens and dust makes this solution available to literally everyone.
The heating cables are installed in the screed. The entire heating system is hidden under the floor, which means that its individual elements do not limit the space. Therefore, you can freely arrange and arrange it according to your preferences. Underfloor heating in the screed therefore provides unlimited arrangement possibilities in the room. Storage heating with heating cables is also characterized by high thermal inertia, which allows you to use cheaper electricity available in the G12 tariff at night and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
