Heating mat for direct underfloor heating
An economical and easy-to-install solution, a heating floor mat is a modern way to provide a warm floor throughout the house. The growing popularity of this type of heating systems results from the universal nature of the installation and the guaranteed, quick heating of floors covered with stoneware, ceramic tiles, terracotta or marble. A constant power of 150W/m2 ensures optimal thermal parameters, and the system itself is in no way dependent on your central heating installation, so you can control it in any way.
Application of electric floor mat
Heating mats, which work perfectly as underfloor heating, are a convenient alternative to the classic “floor heating” integrated with the central heating installation. They can be used for both basic and additional heating of bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, halls and many other rooms in homes, offices and commercial facilities. The heating floor mat consists of a system of cables laid on a special fiberglass mesh. Its installation does not raise the floor level, providing a pleasant feeling of a warm floor, which will additionally increase the comfort of use in any interior.
The TERMOFOL heating mats available in our offer are sold in ready-made assembly kits for self-installation. Installation of the system is intuitive and can be done at home on your own. Thanks to the clear and transparent instructions attached to the heating elements, it is possible to perform all activities without involving a specialist.

ADVANTAGES of using heating mats
Safety of use
With our solutions it is possible to create healthy heating without electromagnetic fields. In turn, 3-layer insulation made of flame-retardant materials ensures the highest level of fire safety.
System reliability and durability
The electric floor mats offered by TERMOFOL are top-class solutions for which we provide a 25-year warranty.
Cheap space heating
For all those who prefer cheap underfloor heating, a heating mat will help reduce the costs of investing in underfloor heating - the system is installed only in places used by household members - there is no need to spread the mat over the entire floor surface.
Ekologiczna instalacja cieplna
If a floor mat is placed on the floor, the heating will become friendly to the environment and household members. No dust, allergens or mites are just some of the reasons why this is a solution for literally everyone.
Lower temperature in the installation
Our heating mats allow you to reduce the temperature of the main heat source (central heating boiler, heat pump) by several degrees, without reducing thermal comfort. This will significantly reduce the costs associated with purchasing fuel and operating the home central heating system.
Energy saving
Underfloor heating with a mat allows you to reduce the demand for thermal energy from the central heating system by up to 20%.
Unlimited arrangement possibilities
The entire heating system is hidden under the floor, so its elements do not limit the space (unlike radiators), which can be freely arranged and developed according to your preferences.
Unlimited possibilities thanks to electric underfloor heating
When it comes to interior design, electric floor mats offer many additional arrangement options. By choosing this type of solution, you can – without the need to make complicated changes to the heating installation – create an intelligent heating system in your home that will be both reliable and energy-saving. In order to obtain optimal thermal comfort, it is worth using a high-class thermostat with a floor sensor. Electric thermoregulators with time programming make it possible to precisely determine the time of turning the underfloor heating on and off. Thanks to the installation of a floor mat in the apartment, the heating will always be efficient and the operating costs will remain under full control. The structure of the building is not an obstacle to installing electric mats as underfloor heating. The system can be installed both directly on the old floor (under renovation) and in newly built houses, before finishing the floor with terracotta, parquet or ceramic tiles. Electric heating mats increase the thermal comfort of the building without creating an additional load on the ceiling, so they can be installed both on the ground floor and in the attic, as well as on any floors of the building.

Underfloor heating - installation of a heating mat
The heating mats offered by TERMOFOL do not require advanced assembly skills, expert knowledge or many years of experience in installing underfloor heating systems. The first step to installing the mat is to make a hole in the wall for two pipes to insert the end of the power cable and the sensor cable. You should also place a Ø 60 flush-mounted box in the wall to install the temperature controller. Then you can start laying the system on the floor. In order for the heating floor mat to fulfill its purpose, it must be spread evenly over the entire floor surface. It is particularly important to maintain equal distances and avoid downpipes, sewage outlets, elements of hot water installations and heating pipes. In the event of a failure and the need to replace these elements in the future, mechanical damage to the cables could occur. The heating mat should not be placed so that it passes between separate rooms or under permanent construction. It is permissible to place it under hanging fittings or furniture standing on legs. Never cut electrical cables. If the foil or heating mat under the panels, terracotta or carpet is too long and does not fit in the room, only cuts can be made on the mesh.

FAQ
Why is it worth choosing underfloor heating with a mat?
Among many solutions involving underfloor heating, a heating mat is the one that has by far the most advantages. In the winter season, household members can walk around the house without shoes, ensuring optimal thermal comfort. At the same time, investing in underfloor heating allows you to remove carpets and rugs from your home that harbor allergens and microorganisms. Having an underfloor heating system also allows you to freely control the heating of the entire house by turning on or off its individual elements. Heating foils and heating mats for panels and ceramic tiles are perfect for homes where people allergic to dust live. Unlike traditional underfloor heating systems, the heating mat does not cause dirt to accumulate on the floors, which also makes it possible to clean the floors less frequently.
Is it possible to install the mat under a shower tray or bathtub?
Unfortunately, infrared heating mats cannot be installed under a bathtub or shower tray.
Does underfloor heating with a 150W/m2 mat increase operating costs?
The use of a mat with a higher power rating shortens the heating time of the installation.
Can the mat be cut during installation?
It is forbidden to cut the wires, the mat can only be shortened by cutting the mesh.
Can a heating floor mat be installed under permanent construction?
It is not possible to install a heating mat under a permanent structure. In the place where the mat is installed, only furniture with legs can be placed, maintaining a minimum height of 3 cm from the floor.
Is it possible to cross or overlap heating cables?
No, the underfloor heating mat cannot be installed in a way that requires overlapping or crossing wires. The minimum distance between wires should be 8 cm.
Is it necessary to hire an electrician to connect the mat?
The mat can only be connected by an electrician with valid SEP qualifications.
What glue and tile grout should I use for the tile mat?
For gluing ceramics, use a flexible adhesive for underfloor heating, and for grouting – a flexible joint.
Can I install the mat myself?
Yes, you can install the mat yourself, provided you follow the instructions in the installation manual included in the kit.
How to check if the mat is working properly after installation?
It is necessary to measure the resistance of the heating conductor and insulation and compare them with the parameters in the technical documentation.
Can heating mats be used under panels?
Unfortunately, no, a heating mat under the panels is not an acceptable solution. When finishing the floor with panels, we recommend TERMOFOL heating foils.
What to do if the heating mat was damaged during installation?
This should be reported to the electrician who connected the mat. The cause of the failure may be a fault in the controller, thermostat, sensor, or damage to the cables or mat.
