Heating foil under the mirror

We present you a modern, practical and functional solution, which is the self-adhesive TERMOFOL heating foil for the mirror. Its purpose is to prevent water vapor from settling on the surface of the mirror. As you know, a hot bath or shower causes the mirror to fog up, making it difficult to use. Improper wiping of steam may result in streaks that are difficult to remove, which is troublesome and time-consuming. The ideal solution to this problem are heating foils for mirrors, which increase their temperature to a level that prevents steam from settling. The self-adhesive surface of the foil guarantees trouble-free installation. The mirror can be either hung loosely on the wall surface or built into the wall facade. The mirror heating mat is powered by connecting to a light switch. This way, the electricity consumption is low and there is no need to install a thermoregulator.

Heating foils for mirrors can be purchased in our online store. When you buy directly from the manufacturer, you do not incur costs related to service through intermediaries.

Specification of the mirror heating foil

Our offer includes several types of heating mats for mirrors, characterized by different sizes and power – the larger the surface, the greater the amount of heat generated to effectively prevent the mirror from fogging. When choosing a product, take into account that the window heating foil must be slightly smaller than the mirror surface. Detailed data on the sizes and power of our products can be found in the table below.

Heating foils for mirrors – how is installation carried out?

  • The first step is to peel off the protective foil from the surface of the heating foil. This should be done gently so that the mirror heating foil is not damaged, which could later affect its functionality or cause an electrical short.
  • Then the mirror heating foil must be glued to its surface from the side adjacent to the wall. You do not need to use additional materials for this, because the product is equipped with a layer of self-adhesive tape. Mirror heating mats must be glued carefully to ensure that the surface is completely smooth. You should also remember to leave the edges of the mirror free. Heating foil for mirrors cannot cover the entire mirror surface
  • Cover the edges of the mirror free from the foil with mounting adhesive (must be purchased separately).
  • In the next stage, the window heating foil must be connected to electricity, directly to the 230V electric cable located in the wall – for this purpose, a hole must be made in the right place. ATTENTION: this step should only be performed by licensed electricians, because trying to do it yourself poses a serious threat to health and life.
  • Finally, stick the mirror to the wall.

Please watch the attached instructional video, showing step by step how to install heating foils to mirrors . Detailed instructions are also included with the products, and if you have any doubts or problems with installation, please contact our qualified and experienced staff, who will be happy to provide all possible assistance.

In the same way as a mirror without heating foil – stick it to the wall with mounting adhesive.

Yes, you can stick the foil yourself. Installing a mirror on the wall can also be done without the help of professionals. However, you should not connect the product to the electrical installation yourself if you do not have the appropriate permissions.

When selecting the heating foil to match the size of the mirror, allow for installation distances of at least 10 cm from the edges of the mirror. For example, for a mirror measuring 60 × 60 cm, we choose a foil measuring 40 x 40 cm.
